Dior sunglasses
Dior sunglasses: background
Born in Normandy, France, in 1905, Christian Dior's first career began in 1928 when, backed financially by his father, he opened small art gallery selling art by the likes of Pablo Picasso. However, a family financial disaster meant he had to close the gallery, and Dior spent the 1930s making a living by doing sketches for haute couture houses. In 1945 he went into business for himself, backed by Marcel Boussac, the cotton-fabric magnate. Dior's fashion house opened in December 1946, and the following February, he presented his first fashion show.
Christian Dior eyewear follows the same themes as his couture wear: futuristic and sophisticated cutting edge style, maintaining an eminent wearability.
