Born in 1946 in Italy, Gianni Versace served an apprenticeship at his mother's dressmaking business before creating prêt-à-porter collections for the top design house of the time. Deciding to create his own brand with the help of his brother Santo (and later sister Donatella), the first Versace clothing collection was launched in 1978.

Like every line from the House of Versace, the Versace glasses collection can be summed up in one word - glamorous. That Versace frames share the same DNA as the House's other collections is unmistakable: sophisticated, confident, individual and sexy, they are designed to reflect the personalities of their wearers.
